Motor Yacht Galapagos Odyssey welcomes you on board to discover with your own eyes the unique wonders of the Galapagos Islands. We take you around the remote and most exceptional islands of the archipelago. The Galapagos Odyssey is considered among the most comfortable and spacious 16-passenger boats cruising this archipelago. Our certified professional crew and the knowledgeable, bilingual naturalist guide on board will do their utmost to convert your once in a lifetime cruise into the trip of your life!
We follow fascinating routes accompanied by an excellent naturalist guide and including time to unwind from the well-filled excursion program. We follow original routes with flexible duration, starting from 4 nights up to 14 nights cruising. Even our shorter routes visit some of the most impressive and out-of-the-way visitor sites! Our naturalist cruise programs include a wide range of activities such as: guided hikes, inflatable dinghy-rides, snorkelling, as well as interesting visits to giant tortoise breeding projects, interpretive botanic trails and visitor’s centres. You will be impressed observing, photographing and filming the incredibly tame and prosperous Galapagos wildlife from different perspectives. You will be closer to nature than ever before!
The rich and spectacular Galapagos wildlife is the most important aspect of every naturalist cruise, but not the single and only factor that paints holiday memories for the rest of your life. M/Y Galapagos Odyssey contributes truly to a comfortable and pleasant stay as well. During your cruise you can fully enjoy the unstrained ambience and personal service on board.
Our chef will pamper you with a rich breakfast buffet, snacks, exquisite warm lunch and dinner served in buffet style as well. The barman is a master in preparing exotic cocktails.
It is true that most exceptional islands are somewhat farther away, but these are also more exclusive, beyond the reach of day tours and island hopping programs. These distances are no problem for M/Y Galapagos Odyssey’s powerful engines, reaching the next island halfway through the night. You will awake refreshed and full of energy for a brand new day full of unforgettable experiences. In fact, naturalist cruises are the most efficient way to make optimal use of your scarce free time in Galapagos; combining nocturnal displacements with at least two excursions (per full day), and often an extra activity; all you need is within easy reach.
During your cruise you can fully enjoy the unstrained ambience on board. Thanks to the small number of passengers, boarding and disembarking will be much faster than on larger expedition vessels, where different groups have to keep a certain distance, losing valuable excursion time on the islands. Moreover our welcoming and helpful professional staff can give sufficient personal attention to everyone, respond to different individual interests, and you can hear your guide loud and clear. Small groups definitely make your experience more exclusive, more intimate and more authentic.
Galapagos Odyssey is one of the larger 16 passenger yachts in Galapagos, and its design leaves ample space for sun and shaded terraces with lounge-chairs; to read a book, or enjoy the whirlpool, the sea breeze and panoramic views. Even if we are fully booked, it won’t feel crowded. The outside decks are also excellent for wildlife observation, such as whales, dolphins and frigate birds. Either inside or outside (or even while relaxing in the Jacuzzi at the Sun Deck) you can order an exotic cocktail, or another drink of your choice from the bars.
Even your bright and relatively quiet cabin with private bathroom is spacious, and has impressive panoramic windows (instead of dark cabins with just a small porthole, common on many yachts sailing in Galapagos). It has regular beds (instead of berths or bunk beds in yachts of lower classes). We have also placed a small desk with an inspiring sea view (ideal for photographers that want to backup and select their shots in the privacy of their cabin). Our matrimonial cabins are perfect for that romantic gateway, so you can enjoy the first class comfort with that special someone. Two more cabins have beds that are convertible in one double bed if desired.
Amenities on board include the whirlpool on the Sun Deck, elegant interiors with panoramic windows, a mini-safe in your cabin and an ‘al fresco’ (outdoor) dining area on the shaded and sheltered terrace.
We are very aware of the vulnerability of this archipelago, and minimize the ecological footprint of our operations. We meet all the requirements set by the Galapagos National Park Directory, including the many ecological guidelines.
Our cruises provide the ideal combination of unforgettable encounters in the wild, with the comfort of a hotel room. Galapagos Odyssey is not too large to become impersonal and not too small to feel trapped without comfort. We offer a superb quality-to-price ratio! Follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin and many others. We make sure that ‘Survival of the fittest’ is observed, and not experienced!
Unique to Galapagos is that every island harbours different wildlife and offers varying landscapes and climate zones. So what you get to see depends largely on the route you follow, and which islands you visit (especially on shorter cruises or island-based day tours).
Uncomfortable island-based day speedboat tours loose a lot of time in moving back and forth, generally just visiting one closer site a day at noon, while the Galapagos Odyssey can continue and visit each full day two sites smoothly (one in the morning and one in the afternoon).
M/Y Galapagos Odyssey takes the most interesting routes, which are carefully-planned and uninterrupted. Needless to say the yacht also anchors at the islands along the fringes of the archipelago, such as Española, Genovesa and Fernandina. These exclusive islands are pristine and make you eyewitness of evolution in process. Thanks to their isolated location its natural residents have evolved absolutely independently into new, sometimes bizarre creations. To observe waved albatrosses, red-footed boobies, flightless cormorants and Galapagos penguins – to mention just a few – you must leave the heart of the archipelago and visit the remote islands.
Come with us on board and see with your own eyes why Galapagos is characterized as the ‘natural laboratory of evolution’!
